My kitchen comes alive every morning as the sunlight shines through my sliding doors, casting a warm hue on everything in its path and casting shadows off of everything that blocks it. My painting emphasizes how this play of light creates a rhythmic composition of light and dark shapes. It also highlights the mystery and drama in the lost and found edges.
