"Tea Time", Oil 6" x 6"

I've been drinking warm lemon water every morning since reading about its health benefits.  This Japanese teacup is part of a set that I bought in Lyon, France.  It brings back good memories of my visit to the beautiful city with a friend of mine from the Loire Valley in France. This painting costs $225 and is framed and ready to hang.

"Juicy", Oil on Linen, 6" x 6"

This painting was done from life using a mandarin that I had in the refrigerator.  I used blue in the background and in the cast shadows and half tones to add contrast to the orange hues in the mandarin. This painting costs $225 and is framed in a 3" deep, dark-wood toned frame with a gold interior border.

"Snack Time II", Oil, 6" x 6"

I finished this painting in two sittings.  Well, I used a third sitting to add more highlights and more depth in the shadows on the glass.  Many times when we assume that something is white, like the glass of milk, but it is not.  Compared to the other objects around it, it may read as being white, but there are many color variations due to the color of the light source, reflected light and the turning of the object into the background.  So, I used a black and white value scale to get the values right and then isolated small sections of the glass by looking through a small viewfinder, which allowed me to see the color in the shadows and the lights.  The major thing to take into account is that the final painting works as a whole.  This painting costs $225 and is framed in a 3" deep frame and ready to hang.  For more information or to purchase, click here.
