"Palate to Palette": Lyme Art Association Fundraiser



I'm on the organizational committee for "Palate to Palette", Lyme Art Association's Annual Fundraiser.  The Lyme Art Association was founded over 100 years ago by the American Impressionists and is one of the largest and most historical art associations in the country.  The annual fundraiser allows the organization to continue to run smoothly and to offer many high-quality exhibits with world-renowned judges.

"Palate to Palette" is a not-to-be-missed event for all the food and art lovers out there.  We have a great line-up of local restaurants and caterers that will offer food samplings of their signature dishes.  A vast array of local wines and beers will be served.  Live music, a silent auction of food related artwork, as well as a live auction, will help round out the event.  The appearance of a famous, deceased artist will also make the event lively and unique.  To add to the excitement, the event will be broadcast live by the local, internet radio station iCRV.  I'm donating " Juicy", a 6" x 6" unframed, oil painting to take part in the silent auction at this event.  If you would like to bid on this painting and can't make it to the event, please call the Lyme Art Association at 860-434-7802.

Best of Show Winner: American Art Awards 2015




My charcoal drawing, " Reclining Nude" is the Best of Show Winner of the 2015 American Art Awards.  The American Art Awards is the brainchild of Thom Bierdz, actor and artist, who's goal is to introduce international artists to top national galleries.  Twenty-five of the top galleries in the US voted on their favorite artwork submitted by artists in 35 different countries.  For the full article, click here.

If you haven't stopped in to see the Mystic Regional Art Exhibit, it will be on display until September 19th, at the Mystic Art Center in Mystic, CT.  It's worth the trip to see the varied artwork of acclaimed artists in the Northeast.
